Habitat For Humanity Build Day

On November 23, 2018, the Rodair team geared up in safety equipment to participate in Habitat For Humanity’s Build Day. Rodair partnered with Habitat For Humanity Canada by donating $10,000 and supplying 20 staff members for the build.

Rodair’s Social Committee led this initiative by launching a companywide fundraising goal of $5000 with CEO Jeff Cullen matching every dollar fundraised. In 5 weeks, the team surpassed their $5000 goal by raising $5263.00!

At the build, the Rodair team met Jane, one of the families in the program. Jane, a single mom of 4 and an elementary school teacher, had a difficult time putting a down payment for a home. Through the Habitat program, her life and the lives of her children has changed.

The Rodair team is truly humbled and grateful to be a part of a worthwhile cause. Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization that brings communities together by helping families build strength, stability, and independence through affordable homeownership. Habitat is a hand up, not hand out charitable organization.

Volunteer and financial support makes a tremendous difference. An impact study conducted on Habitat Toronto Partner Families in 2012 revealed how affordable homeownership strengthens communities and opens doors for low-income youth:

Global supply chains are becoming more complex and interconnected every day. Supply chains that adopt transparency, comprehensive analytics, and cognitive technologies will have a distinct competitive advantage. The first step is establishing a digital supply network that integrates all supply chain entities into a single view to visualize and continually monitor performance and risk. With a digital twin fully mapped out, the next step is to incorporate innovative approaches wherever they can improve the supply chain. Adopting emerging technologies, such as blockchain and big data analytics, to aggregate insights and create prescriptive, predictive models is what organizations should invest in to stay relevant in this fast-growing global environment.
