Rodair International Participates in Earth Day Tree Planting Event May 22 2018

Rodair International Ltd. participated in the City of Mississauga’s Earth Day Tree Planting event last month. The event took place at Glen Eden Park in Mississauga, ON. The City of Mississauga’s One Million Trees initiative aims “to help conserve and enhance the City’s open spaces and forested areas for future generations to enjoy.” The goal is to plant one million trees on private and public lands by the year 2032. To date, 285,656 trees have been planted.

Rodair employees and their friends and families got together on a Saturday morning to help plant 250 trees at the Earth Day event. The day kicked off with a guided nature hike throughout the park exploring and learning about the different types of trees. It was followed by an address from the City of Mississauga’s mayor, Bonnie Crumbie, who spoke about the importance of taking care of our environment and doing our part, whether big or small, to help preserve it.

Rodair is proud to support the One Million Trees initiative because our company believes in being eco-friendly and environmentally sustainable. In an industry with a large carbon footprint, we are conscious of our recycling and waste management and strive to find greener solutions to do our part for our planet.
